What We Do
We help client’s achieve their goals through counseling, consultation, and monitoring tools (breathalyzers and drug testing). Helping clients through counseling involves providing them with a safe and supportive environment to explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors with a professional therapist. With consultation, counselors collaborate with families, attorneys, medical doctors, etc. to ensure goal and treatment alignment. We provide monitoring tools, like breathalyzers and drug tests, to support accountability in treating substance use disorders.
These services are available to anyone in our community. You don’t have to be a therapy client in order to use our monitoring tools.
Therapy
Prime Counseling offers a range of therapeutic services designed to address various mental health challenges. Their approach emphasizes individualized care, meeting clients where they are in their healing journey. The therapy options available include:
Individual Therapy: This form of counseling focuses on helping clients process emotions, change self-destructive behaviors, and improve relationships through supportive talk therapy and recovery accountability.
Couples Therapy: Prime Counseling aims to strengthen relationships by addressing conflicts and fostering personal growth. Therapists provide objective insights to help couples navigate trust issues, communication breakdowns, and other challenges.
Family Therapy: This service is designed to heal dysfunctional family dynamics and improve overall family relationships. It involves working with the entire family unit to support each member's healing process.
EMDR Therapy: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is offered as an alternative to traditional talk therapy, particularly effective for clients dealing with trauma.
Prime Counseling is also dedicated to accessibility, collaborating with The Together Project to provide low-cost therapy options to those in financial need
Consultation
Prime Counseling offers three types of consultation services designed to support both individuals and professionals in navigating mental health challenges.
Peer Consultation for Professionals: This service is aimed at clinicians seeking to enhance their skills and knowledge regarding niche diagnoses and behaviors, such as personality disorders, substance abuse, and suicidal ideation. The goal is to help clinicians feel more confident in handling complex cases and to provide insights based on extensive experience in the field.
Therapeutic Consultation for Families and Individuals: This type of consultation helps families and individuals make sense of the often overwhelming world of mental health treatment. It focuses on providing logistical answers and actionable steps rather than emotional processing. Common questions addressed may include safety concerns in substance withdrawal, navigating treatment options for loved ones, and managing parenting challenges.
LPC-Associate Supervision
Selecting a supervisor is a super important part of stepping into the next phase of your career. It is important that you feel safe with your supervisor and that you are getting the training you deserve while becoming the best professional counselor you can be. If we work together, our relationship will be super collaborative and therefore needs to line up with your therapeutic goals.
I choose associates based off of multiple factors including professional motivation, current group associate vibes, theoretical orientation, career aspirations, and more.
Monitoring Tools
Prime Counseling offers comprehensive monitoring tools designed to support individuals navigating recovery from substance use disorders or fulfilling legal sobriety requirements. These tools include advanced breathalyzer devices and drug testing services, which provide accountability and structure essential for effective treatment and long-term recovery.
Soberlink: One of their primary monitoring tools is the Soberlink breathalyzer, which incorporates real-time reporting and facial recognition to ensure the integrity of tests and prevent manipulation. This portable device allows users to conduct tests remotely and share results instantly with designated parties, such as counselors or family members. The monthly fee for this service is $350, in addition to operational costs from Soberlink.
Drug testing: Prime Counseling provides rapid urine tests with results in about 15 minutes for $75, as well as more comprehensive lab tests for $175, which offer detailed analysis and are less prone to tampering. These services test for a wide range of substances, reinforcing commitment to sobriety and supplying critical data to adjust treatment plans as necessary.
These monitoring services are integrated into broader treatment plans that include counseling and support groups, emphasizing a compassionate approach that respects the client's dignity while ensuring accountability.
