FAQ’s
Q. What if I don’t fit into the areas that you treat?
A. We work with everyone. We just listed the areas that are our speciality. We have a passion for supporting these diagnoses, but treat more “common” areas like anxiety, depression, divorce, etc. Reach out and we can find the counselor who fits your needs best.
Q. What if I can’t afford the prices listed on this site?
A. Call us! We do not want money to be the factor in someone receiving help. All of our counselors hold reduced rate spots to ensure we can treat as many clients as possible. If we can’t help, we will find someone who can.
Q. Am I supposed to like my therapist?
A. Absolutely! The connection you have with your therapist, also known as the “therapeutic alliance”, is one of the most important factors in counseling. If you are not feeling connected to your therapist, please tell us. You will not hurt our feelings, and if you do we have our own therapists for that :)
Q. What’s the difference between talking to you or my best friend or family?
A. The biggest difference is that your therapist is a complete third-party opinion. Your best friend or family member will always be biased. We believe that you should talk to both your family/friends and your therapist about the stuff going on in your life. Including a therapist makes sure you receive unbiased feedback from someone who isn’t worried about family dinners being awkward.
Furthermore, therapy is completely confidential. You won’t have to worry about others “knowing you business” or keeping you secrets over time. Its our job to do both.
