Monitoring Services

Monitoring services, such as breathalyzer devices and drug testing, play a pivotal role in supporting individuals who are navigating recovery from substance use disorders or who are required to maintain sobriety for legal or professional reasons. These tools provide both accountability and structure, which are essential components of effective treatment and long-term recovery. It is also important for family or loved ones to focus on love and support instead of being a “probation officer”. Let us handle all of the logistics of monitoring for substances and only loop you in if/when there is an issue.

Breathalyzer Monitoring with Soberlink

($350 a month)

Soberlink is the only breathalyzer that we consider to be reliable. It integrates real-time reporting with facial recognition, making it impossible to manipulate. A typical breathalyzer is easy to falsify by using a blow dryer, dryer sheets, bike pump, and more. This feature is particularly useful for individuals who need to demonstrate their sobriety for legal reasons.

The device is portable, easy to use, and connects to a smartphone to allow for remote testing. Soberlink’s advanced technology includes facial recognition to verify the identity of the person taking the test, ensuring the integrity of the monitoring process. This real-time monitoring helps create a structured environment that discourages alcohol use and supports the client’s commitment to sobriety. Moreover, the non-invasive and private nature of the testing makes it a less stigmatizing option.

Test results are instantly transmitted to a designated monitoring party, such as a counselor, legal representative, or family member, providing immediate accountability. This is where we come in; we will receive all the notifications and only notify others when there is an issue with the results.

The monitoring fee of $350 a month is separate from the fees charged by soberlink to operate the technology. Learn more here: https://www.soberlink.com

Drug Testing

(Rapid Results $75; Lab Results; $175)

Urine tests, while commonly used for monitoring substance use, can be susceptible to manipulation. They are manipulated by using synthetic urine, dilution, combining chemicals, and more. Additionally, the process of scheduling and attending in-person appointments for urine testing can be inconvenient and burdensome. With our monitoring services, these challenges are significantly reduced. We have added many barriers to reduce and eliminate any manipulation by the tester. This not only enhances the reliability of the monitoring process but also removes the hassle of coordinating appointments, offering a more seamless and trustworthy approach to ensuring sobriety

The primary benefit of drug testing lies in its ability to provide objective data on an individual’s substance use. For clients, this external monitoring can reinforce their commitment to sobriety, serving as a deterrent against relapse. For counselors and other professionals, it provides crucial information that can be used to adjust treatment plans or interventions as needed. Drug testing can also play a significant role in legal contexts, such as probation or custody cases, where proof of sobriety is required.

All of our drug tests test for over 18 commonly used tests including nicotine, fentanyl, krater, delta 8, etc.

Rapid results are charged at $75 per test and provide results within 15 minutes. Lab results are overnighted to a certified lab. Results are received within 72 hours of test and give a broad range of data including substance levels and exact drug names. Lab results removes the possibility of false positives.

Integrating Monitoring Services in Treatment

The integration of breathalyzer and drug testing into a broader treatment plan is essential for their effectiveness. These tools are most beneficial when used as part of a comprehensive approach that includes counseling, support groups, and other therapeutic interventions. Monitoring services provide the necessary structure and accountability, but they are not standalone solutions. The psychological, emotional, and social aspects of recovery must also be addressed to ensure long-term success.

In addition, it is important to approach monitoring with sensitivity and respect for the client’s dignity. While these tools are valuable for accountability, they should be implemented in a way that supports rather than shames the individual. When combined with compassionate care and ongoing support, monitoring services like Soberlink and drug testing can be powerful allies in the journey toward sustained sobriety and recovery.
